Why the **** do adults always think us teens arent really in love? Gosh i'm sorry for using the f word but seriously YOU COULD BE IN LLOVE AT ANY AGE. but damn the grown-ups say your too young to know what love is blah blah blah. |
| Because most adults are idiots and don't remember what it was like to be a teenager (I'm 54). I remember being intensely in love as a teenager, and it was very real. As JIm Croce once said in his song Alabama Rain, "We were only guys, but then I've never heard it said, that guys can't fall in love and feel the same". |
PARENTS OF TEENS, WHY THE **** ARE YOU SO STRICT!? I AM SO ANGRY. IM 15 YEARS OLD AND MY PARENTS ARE ******* STRICT. THEY DONT LET ME GO OUT AFTER LIKE 7PM, IM NOT ALLOWED TO GO OUT WITH FRIENDS THAT THEY 'DONT KNOW' THEY LIKE ******* SPY ON ME AND EVERYTHING I DO, THEY HAVE TO 'APPROVE' OF THE CLOTHES THAT I WEAR, AND SO MUCH MORE. SO WHY ARE YOU SO STRICT. FOR **** SAKE GO EASY ON YOUR TEENS. WHY CANT YOU LET US MAKE OUR OWN MISTAKES AND LEARN FROM THEM. YOU MAKE OUR LIFE SO ******* BORING. DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THAT THE STRICTER YOU ARE, THE MORE WE REBEL? WELL YOU BETTER START BELIEVING IT CUZ DAMMIT ITS TRUE. I DO **** THAT I WOULDNT OF DONE IF MY PARENTS WERNT STRICT, JUST SO I CAN FEEL RIGHT. LET US MAKE MISTAKES. WHY ARE YOU SO STRICT YOU MAKE OUR LIFE HELL. |
You say that you should be allowed to make your mistakes, but there are some mistakes that you don't get the chance to learn from. Rip my head off if you want, but it is truly just because they don't want anything to happen to you. They just don't want you to be out late, they want to know who you are with, and they don't want the wrong people to get the wrong idea by how you are dressed.
However I agree that the 7pm curfew is a little strict. Talk to them. Show them you can be mature. That does not mean yelling at them or telling them that they are too strict - that won't help one bit. Just explain that you would like a little more freedom. Compromise. Suggest that you are allowed to stay out later some nights, but tell them who you are going with. Say that you are feeling suffocated by their rules, and that you would like a chance to be a little more independent. Stay calm and show them that you can be adult about the situation. (Probably best that you leave this conversation until you aren't...using so many capitals, let's say :P)
Just make sure that this "rebelling" isn't putting you in danger. It's just not worth it, no matter how unfair you think your parents are being. |
Parents what would you do if your teen told you to **** off ? I am the teen in the situation and I told my dad to **** off. |
| You shouldn't of said that to your dad. |
Im starting to hate the best hangout spot but my girlfriend loves it? The best hang out spot is the graveyard behind the movies. I wonder why not the movies but anyways I getting really tired and its to crowded on the weekends from 7-10 pm lil guys sit there and play spin the bottle. 11-sunrise teens **** in the graveyard it's a like ******* in the middle becuase there's so many people. But the thing is my girlfriend loves the graveyard she loves to just there and do nothing. How do I tell her I'm getting tired of it. |
You don't have to tell her. Take her somewhere else and have more fun there than you have at the graveyard, and she won't want to go there anymore.
If she just wants to sit around and do nothing, stay at home. |
What are some free fun things for teens to do in Colorado springs? Well my friends and I are sitting around at home wondering what the **** to do since we can't really afford to drive around so any suggestions on where to go or what to ? |
The Pike's Peak thing is nice, but I don't know how your transportation situation is. That is one spot you might have to drive to. If you do take the ride to the top, take warm (winter clothes) even if it is Summer--it won't be up there.
Not sure when you will be there but the link below might help. If you are staying in a hotel, try to find one centrally located to most of the activity so you can get around on foot, if need be. |
Why do pretty much all gays start having "sex" at age 14, when only some normal people start in their teens? Gays will **** almost anything they come across, while normal people usually (but not always) wait until they're in a serious relationship. |
| Generalization is what is ruining our society...... |
Why is it that the first thing people ask me is if I drink or smoke? Who gives a ****? Alright, so I'm 17; prime age to pick up all those great habits that are pressured upon us teens. It seems like when I meet people my age/older these days, the first question I get from them is if I drink or smoke. Why do they care so much? I mean, there are so many things that define my life besides my substance usage that are interesting. Any ideas? |
| All my friends that smoked at 18 were dead by 40. Most of my friends who were boozers at 18 either quit by 23 and raised happy families or continued and had all sorts of family problems either through the bad example they gave their guyren or the problems they created through their behavior while drunk. You are 17 and you know it all. Don't let other people try to tell you how damaging drinking and smoking will be to any future you think you may have. Marry another smoker and drinker and compound your problems. There are few adults who would take their own advice if they could go back in time and listen to what they thought and said when they were 17. |
Florida teens who beat defenseless girl to be tried as adults.? I was so glad to hear that this judge didn't puss out and is charging all 8 of them as adults. They have all been set bond of ATLEAST $30,000 and are facing 20 years to life for the offense.
I hope they all are found guilty due to the heinous nature of the crime and their calouse and remorseless behavior. One of the offenders even wrote on her myspace page "**** YALL I'D DO IT AGAIN!!"
What are your thoughts on this? |
| Good, because what they did was stupid and so wrong, and thank goodness for getting 20 to life. I actually would have liked the bail remanded. |
Parents, why do you overprotect your teens so much? I mean some parents are cool, but a lot of parents will FREAK THE **** OUT when a teenager does something like has sex or drinks or does drugs like their guy is doomed for prison. Not to mention micromanaging their schoolwork, who they date, where they go, what they eat, when they go to bed, and what they do to their body. Like I'm not saying bad things wont happen but why cant we figure somethings out for ourselves? |
Because they are still guyren and not ALMOST ADULTS. They will not be adult until well into their 20s.
